REQUIRED INFORMATION

Vanderbilt University Customers:

All that is required of a VU customer is a cost center number when filling out a sequencing request via the web. A center number is a 10 digit number given by either the principle investigator of the lab or the administrative officer of the department. There must be a center number associated with each reaction submitted before the sequence request is honored.

At the beginning of each month, customers will receive an electronic invoice (by email) for the previous billing cycle. Billing cycles consist of the middle of a month to the middle of the next month. The total will automatically be deducted from the account listed on the invoice by the Vanderbilt University Core Invoicing System developed by the Office of Research in conjunction with the Department of Finance. If a total is in question, or if a customer requires more detail about the invoice, he/she may direct all inquiries to dna.sequence@vanderbilt.edu. Please indicate the month of the bill in question in the subject of the email so that we may correct your account.

Non-VU customers, or customers without center numbers, must provide a full mailing address and phone number when setting up their account via the website. When filling out the sequencing request, please type the name of your organization in the center number column (i.e., Meharry, VA, Outside Corporation, etc.) to indicate that the bill must be mailed directly to the user, as opposed to using the electronic automated billing system.
